New home + New midwife//2012

Well the past two weeks have just been CRAZY for the Cole family! We found out about baby two weeks ago today, Justin started a whole new job, we (after many many prayers) finally got a duplex and have painted it and moved in, and met with a midwife in Amarillo. Whew!

The idea of having a new addition has really begun to sink in and we are both more and more excited every day. It's so fun to talk with Justin about dreams for our family. We get to talk about how we want to decorate the nursery and what baby names we love and I get all dreamy eyed every time we pass Babies R Us and the crib aisle in Wal-Mart. It is just a blast.

Justin was working at our local bank as a teller but it really wasn't working out so he got a job working for the city. He has worked for just over a week and so far he really likes it. Justin really enjoys getting to spend time outside (except for today because it's cold, windy and snowing!!). I am so proud of him taking on a whole new type of work and learning it so quickly. He is such a hard worker and I'm so thankful for that!

For those that don't know, my mom bought the old hallmark building in downtown Perryton for her photography studio last summer. There is a half story with a bedroom and tiny kitchen up here and since we couldn't find anywhere to live, that has been our home for the past 5 months. We have so appreciated that we got to live here but there was no shower which made everyday life inconvenient. So I called a landlord in town that we had talked to a couple of months ago and it just so happened that one of his renters had called and said he was moving out. The only problem was that it was a one bedroom backyard house which was not what we were looking for but we decided to look at it anyway. When the time came to meet up with him I called and he told me there had been a mixup- he actually had a two bedroom duplex with a backyard and garage! Wow! It couldn't be more perfect!! When we met him there he said "Here's your garage door opener and house key." We are so blessed by the place we got! We spent the next few days painting and moving in and even though it was hard work, it was so worth it!

The last bit of exciting news is that we met with a midwife in Amarillo last weekend. She is the only on in the area so we were hoping and praying that we really liked her because Justin and I decided a long time ago that we want all home births if possible. When we met her she was so friendly and informative. She has 27 years of experience and has delivered 3000 babies! Her experience helped me feel very confident. One of the best things, also, is that she comes to our home for every appointment so that we can feel comfortable with her in our home. That saves us several 4 hour day trips!! And our insurance may cover most of our birth with her so we are praying that our insurance does cover her!

I can honestly say that I believe God's timing was all over our lives the past month. Every single thing in our life is falling right into place and I couldn't be more thankful right now. I feel so at peace even though I know life is going to become more difficult and will change drastically in the next year. I'm excited to share with all of you! Please be praying for health and protection for our baby and for me (Brittany) and that the insurance works out with our midwife! Thanks and love you all!
